David T. Ahn, MD, is program director at the Mary & Dick Allen Diabetes Center for Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach, California, where he is also the recipient of the Dr. Kris V. Iyer Endowed Chair in Diabetes Care. Dr. Ahn earned his medical degree and completed his fellowship in Endocrinology at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Ahn is board certified in internal medicine, endocrinology, and is a diplomate of ABOM. Prior to his current position, he was an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA's Department of Endocrinology.
Dr. Ahn is a member of the American Diabetes Association and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and has presented at industry conferences, including the American Diabetes Association Scientific Sessions, Digital Diabetes Congress, and Annual UCLA Diabetes Symposium. His research has been published in relevant publications, including Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology, Diabetes Technology & Therapeutics, and Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice. He is particularly interested in digital health and He is the author of the chapter “Diabetes Apps” for the ADA-published book Diabetes Technology: Science and Practice.
