Sarah Barenbaum, MD is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and an Assistant Attending Physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Barenbaum specializes in the care of patients with obesity and weight-related medical complications. Dr. Barenbaum sees patients at the Comprehensive Weight Control Center, and also with the GI Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery program, where she serves as the Obesity Medicine Director. Dr. Barenbaum received her BA from Yale University and her MD from Drexel University College of Medicine. Dr. Barenbaum completed both her Residency in Internal Medicine & her Obesity Medicine Fellowship at Weill Cornell Medicine/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine. She is a member of The Obesity Society and gives lectures and publishes peer-reviewed articles on Obesity Medicine and weight management.
