Social determinants of health, the conditions in the environments where people are born, live, learn, work, play, worship, and age, play a large role in how well patients can adhere to weight management strategies. The combination of didactics and case studies will provide strategies for identifying and addressing social determinants of health within an obesity medicine practice including food insecurity, health literacy, and physical activity insecurity.
